Boilers for Heat, Combi-Boilers for Heat & Hot Water
Navien makes two kinds of wall-hung units: a Navien boiler heats your home, while a combi-boiler heats your home and makes hot water at the same time, which moves the water heater out of the basement entirely.
The larger Navien combis produce enough hot water for three showers and a dishwasher running at once, so going compact doesn’t mean running short.
Navien’s fire tube models use a patented stainless steel heat exchanger assembled by robotic laser welding, removing most of the high-stress joints that tend to fail first.

Of the five boiler brands we carry, Navien splits its boilers into two distinct families.
Boilers
These are heating-only units, for a home that already has a working water heater. Both models throttle down well, dropping to a fraction of full output and idling gently through a mild October morning instead of firing hard and shutting off all day.
NHB-H
The NHB-H comes in four sizes, covering most GTA homes. The largest model carries a 15:1 turndown, the deepest in the series, so it holds a steady water temperature instead of short-cycling on shoulder-season days. The two largest models can be cascaded and share a common vent when one unit isn’t enough.
NFB-H
The NFB-H is the fire tube boiler, offered in two sizes for bigger jobs. Turndown reaches 15:1, and it runs quietly enough to sit near finished spaces. Up to eight units can share a single vent, which keeps roof penetrations down on a large home or a small multi-unit building.
Combi-Boilers
A combi-boiler heats your house and makes hot water on demand, so you don’t have a full tank of hot water losing heat while you’re out. Both Navien combis deliver up to 5.4 GPM and offer a 15:1 turndown on the hot water side, which keeps your shower steady when someone downstairs starts the dishwasher.
NCB-H
Five models make up the NCB-H range, with the widest spread of sizes Navien offers, so you can usually find a fit without oversizing the unit. Dual stainless steel heat exchangers handle the heating side while a separate flat plate exchanger handles hot water. Heating turndown runs up to 11:1.
NFC-H
The NFC-H brings the fire-tube heat exchanger to the combi side, and it’s the one to look at for a larger home. Two models deliver solid heating and hot water capacity. It also holds 15:1 turndown on heating, not just on hot water, so it modulates further than the NCB-H on the heating side.
