A Note on SEER

Air conditioner efficiency is judged by its SEER number, which stands for seasonal energy efficiency ratio. The highest numbers are better, and for central air conditioners 21 SEER is as high as possible to get – and no portable or window ACs can match this.

The truth is there are several good brands still out there, but what will make or break your air conditioner’s reliability is how well it is installed. Part of the reason that Trane has a good name in the industry is that they’re more choosy about who they allow to install their equipment.

Not only do we hire only licensed technicians who are bona fide experts, Dr HVAC is a Certified Trane Installer. To get and keep this certification we have to get extra training directly from Trane, and prove we meet their standards for technical excellence and customer care on an ongoing basis.
