When a homeowner in Toronto calls us at 11 p.m. because their furnace quit, nobody on our team is thinking about magazine rankings. So, it means something special to share this news.
On September 25, 2026, The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine named Dr HVAC & Plumbing as one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies for 2026. That’s three appearances on this list for us, and the second year in a row!
We didn’t get here on a clever growth plan. We got here because homeowners across the Greater Toronto Area keep calling us back, and because our amazing team keeps earning those calls.
About Canada’s Top Growing Companies
Canada’s Top Growing Companies is an editorial ranking published every year by Report on Business magazine.
Companies apply on their own, submit their financials, and are ranked on three-year revenue growth. It’s not a paid or sponsored list, which is part of why it’s such a prestigious award to earn.
We first made the list back in 2022, and then again last year. The full 2026 ranking runs in the latest issue of Report on Business magazine, and the complete list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies is published online at The Globe and Mail.
We asked Brendon Aldridge, owner of Dr HVAC & Plumbing, what making the list a third time means to him.
“I started Dr HVAC in 2007 because I loved figuring out what was broken and fixing it properly. Growth was never the goal. The goal was that every homeowner who lets us into their home gets a licensed professional who does the work right the first time. Making this list a third time tells me our team has held onto that while we’ve grown, and that’s the part I’m most proud of.”
Thank You, Toronto & the GTA
An award like this measures revenue, but what it really reflects is trust.
Every furnace replacement in Scarborough, every drain cleaning in Mississauga, every 2 a.m. call in Georgetown, all of it adds up to this.
So, thank you to the homeowners who’ve recommended us to a neighbour, and to the team who’ve shown up at -30°C to make things right. We owe this to all of you.
Nothing about our approach changes from here. Upfront pricing, no mystery fees, and work that’s guaranteed. If we get it wrong, we’ll come back and fix it.
Whether it’s your furnace, your air conditioner, or a pipe you’d rather not think about… Call the Doc!
